From Sunday to Monday, registration for covid vaccination will open in the Czech Republic for people between the ages of 35 and 39. From midnight on Tuesday to Wednesday, people aged 30 to 34 will also be able to apply for vaccination.
The gradual opening of registrations for people in their thirties was not originally planned. At the beginning of last week, the Minister of Health Petr Arenberger (for YES) stated that after the launch of the registration for people in the age category of 40 to 45 years, all those interested over the age of 16 will probably be able to apply for the vaccine. Registration for people over 40 was launched at midnight from Sunday to Monday.
Vaccination against covid-19 began in the Czech Republic at the end of December. Healthcare professionals have administered approximately 4.4 million doses since then. About 1.14 million people have completed vaccinations.
People over the age of 80 were the first to apply to the vaccination registration system in the country, followed by health professionals, school staff or chronic patients, and other age groups.
