The Zeeland police have arrested another suspect for a series of assaults and thefts on Schouwen-Duiveland last week. It concerns a 17-year-old boy from Tholen.
He was arrested this morning at his home. It is the fifth arrest for a series of violent incidents in Burgh-Haamstede and Renesse, among others. This weekend and yesterday, police have already arrested four other teenagers in connection with the events. They’re still stuck.
A total of ten victims of eight assaults and two robberies have come forward. The police have footage of at least one assault, but no report has yet been made of that incident, reports Broadcasting Zeeland.
Another assault
Yesterday the police arrested five more suspects for an assault in the night from Sunday to Monday. A 17-year-old boy from Dordrecht was suddenly attacked by a group and a fight ensued in which people were beaten back and forth.
According to a police spokesman, the case is unrelated to the series of incidents last week.
