Another partner of the Slovak Ice Hockey Association (SZĽH) expressed dissatisfaction with the association’s decision not to ban KHL players from representing Slovakia.
After the main partner Orange and subsequently the company Škoda spoke, the Tipsport company took the same position.
“The betting company Tipsport SK disagrees with the accepted opinion of the Executive Committee of the SZĽH on the possibility of representing the Slovak Republic by players working in the KHL”, reads the company’s press release.
“Tipsport SK, as a long-time partner of Slovak hockey, expected a different development in the decision of the Executive Committee of the SZĽH on this issue. The company’s attitude towards the Russian war in Ukraine is clearly expressed by the active assistance in projects to support both those who have left Ukraine and those who have remained.
Since the start of the Russian aggression, Tipsport SK, as the only company, has not yet offered bets on Russian and Belarusian competitions. Tipsport SK is behind Ukraine “, said Tipsport director Martin Tabák.
