A former top manager, whose name is associated with major Russian companies such as Roscosmos, Sukhoi, Lukoil, Menatep and Rusdragmet, died in a fire at his apartment in Moscow. This was announced by the Prosecutor’s Office of Moscow. According to the information, the fire broke out on the 17th floor of an elite residential complex on Leninsky Prospekt, one of the major boulevards in the Russian capital. The home of 49-year-old Dmitry Pavochka, who was discovered by firefighters without signs of life, was located there. According to the preliminary data of the investigators, the former top manager fell asleep with a cigarette, which led to the fire.
Pavochka recently headed the Department of International Scientific and Educational Cooperation at the Graduate School of Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship. All the circumstances surrounding the fire are being established.
