W.If you’re in the mood for Mexican food, some signature staples like britos, tacos, and enchiladas will come to mind. But the owners of La Cabaña Restaurant in Manahakkin want to offer something more than this particular rate. Of course they will still do your favorite things, they just want to add another authentic Mexican food.
La Cabita, which means ‘little cabin’, is a 1,500-square-foot space that houses 50 guests indoors. With designs that bring the vibrant spirit of Mexico City to New Jersey. (There will also be outdoor seating coming soon.) The state-of-the-art Mexican restaurant serves many of Border’s favorites as well as fresh Goan dishes. “Every day we have different specialties and they are always unique,” says the owners’ daughter, Lucerne Alvarado.

Another thing that distinguishes La Cabata from other foods is the decoration. “For our decorating style, we decided to do something different from most Mexican restaurants,” says Alvarado. “We have a modern cabin shape, some paintings that represent Mexican culture, as I know, and they were with some Mexican crafts.”
The menu offers options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Until now, seafood dishes like Claudio de Marcus la Cabita and Huachengo Veracruzano have been blockbuster movies. Meanwhile, their bistec a la cibaita (rib steak with domestic chorizo) pleases the crowd. Likewise, tacos, chimps, and carriers are classic favorites. Alvardo Valivo loves La La Voda, a seafood cocktail in tomato sauce with grilled dishes, onion and avocado.
