President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) returns the code to commit government reshuffle in the rest of his reign. Ready to replace the minister?
“Maybe. Yes later,” Jokowi said at Sukamahi Dam, Bogor, on Friday (12/23/2022). Jokowi was asked about the possibility of a reshuffle.
Earlier today, Jokowi said there was always a plan for a cabinet reshuffle. This statement was made by Jokowi during a visit to the Indonesia-China High Speed Train Station at Tegalluar High Speed Train Station, Cileunyi, Bandung Regency, on Thursday (10/13).
Jokowi said this when asked by reporters if there was a reshuffle plan after NasDem announced Anies Baswedan as its presidential candidate. At the time, Jokowi said it would be decided whether or not to implement the plan.
“There are always plans. The implementation will be decided later,” said Jokowi.
Who gets shuffled?
Who will be the subject of a government reshuffle is still a mystery. However, satisfaction with the performance of Jokowi’s ministers can be seen from the poll results. The first institute of investigation is Charta Politika which was released yesterday, Thursday (22/12). In the poll, 61.8% of respondents agreed there would be a cabinet reshuffle.
This survey was conducted from December 8 to 16, 2022, through face-to-face interviews using a structured questionnaire. The number of samples is 1,220 interviewees distributed in 34 provinces. The sample was selected using a multistage random sampling method with a margin of error of ±2.83% at a 95% confidence level.
In the poll, 72.9% of respondents said they were satisfied with the performance of the Jokowi-Ma’ruf government. While 25.8% of those interviewed said they were not satisfied. In detail, 14.7% answered very satisfied, 58.2% quite satisfied, 23.1% less satisfied, 2.7% not at all satisfied and 1.3% did not know or did not answer .
The satisfaction rate for Jokowi-Ma’ruf does not compare with the satisfaction of respondents with the performance of Jokowi’s assistants in the cabinet. As many as 60.5% of the interviewees answered that they were satisfied, 32.7% answered that they were not satisfied, 6.9% answered that they did not know or did not answer. Most respondents (61.8%) also agreed that Jokowi would reshuffle the government.
