It must be a slap in the face for scandal Prince Andrew, who recently… stripped of his royal and military titles: a big bloodletting and downright image disaster for a prince. The titles give people and in this case royals in Great Britain a lot of prestige.
Harry also sees his chance at the special anniversary medal evaporate, because he surrendered his titles in 2020 after the Megxit. He relinquished these three honorary titles in 2020: Captain General of the Royal Marines, Honorary Air Commander of RAF Honington and Commander in Chief, Small Ships and Diving, Royal Naval Command.

The commemorative medal is a thank you to serving members of the armed forces, as well as to those of the police, fire brigade, emergency services and prison services. Members of the Royal Family who hold honorary positions in the military will also receive one.
Also eligible are veterans who have received the George Cross or Victoria Cross. If veterans do not receive this award, they will not receive the medal. Because Harry and Andrew no longer have their honorary titles, they see the prize – which will be awarded in February – pass by.
