Another serious shooting took place in Vorst, Brussels, on Tuesday night. Two people were injured.
In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, another shooting took place around 1 am in the Fierlantstraat in Vorst, near the infamous Sint-Antoniusplein. According to initial information, it is another feud between gangs and four masked men were involved.
Two people were injured in the shooting. “The emergency services were immediately called to the scene,” the Brussels public prosecutor’s office said. According to initial reports, one injured person was in danger of life, but according to the public prosecutor’s office, this is not the case. “Several victims were taken to hospital for further care. They are not in mortal danger.”
According to Mayor El Hamidine’s office, a car and a house were also damaged by the shots.
Presumably three heavy weapons were used, including a riot gun and an automatic weapon. Many shots were fired, because the police recovered about thirty bullet casings at the scene. The four suspected shooters are still on the run.

A judicial perimeter was set up, “to preserve all traces useful for the investigation.” An investigating judge, a medical examiner, and the laboratory of the federal judicial police arrived on the scene. Witnesses have also been interviewed and camera images examined. The investigation is now being “actively continued”, the public prosecutor’s office reports.
There were previous incidents on Sint-Antoniusplein on Tuesday evening. The square in question is known as a place where a lot of drugs are dealt.
