Cologne (AP) – The return of ex-national player Mark Uth to Bundesliga soccer club 1. FC Köln is imminent.
“There is agreement between FC, Mark Uth and its management,” said sports director Jörg Jakobs at the FC’s digital general meeting: “There are still a few things to be clarified with the releasing club Schalke.”
Uth (29) was born in Cologne, became a professional at FC and played successfully in the second half of the 2019/20 season as a loaner from Schalke in his hometown. Apparently, the Cologne hope, despite a contract that runs until 2022, Uth will not have to pay a transfer fee to the relegated team.
