Mendoza added this Thursday almost 200 cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, another record that it achieves this week and ratifies the rising curve of infections that the province is experiencing these days, while approaching the barrier of 3,000 accumulated cases since the pandemic began in March.
Also, he signed up today the death of four people by COVID-19 and another 56 patients were discharged who had contracted the disease.
The Laboratory Network of the Ministry of Health, Social Development and Sports reported that between the last hours of yesterday and today, 622 determinations, of which 430 were negative.
192 new positive cases were registered, which are distributed as follows:
- Nexus due to close contact with COVID-19 positives: 152 patients. All with family ties and close contacts who presented symptoms and the Health team went out to swab.
- Health Personnel: 6 patients.
- People returning to the community circulation area: 4 patients.
- Under investigation: 30 patients.
Also, the ministry reported the death of 4 patients with COVID-19:
- 70 year old woman interned at the Tunuyn Institute on 08/12. The patient had advanced cancer.
- 78 year old woman admitted to the Private Hospital on 08/08. The patient had comorbidities associated with her age.
- 93-year-old man admitted to the Private Hospital on 08/02. The patient had comorbidities associated with his age.
- 78 year old woman admitted to the Santa Mara Clinic on 08/11. The patient had comorbidities associated with her age.
On the other hand, with the arrival of the reports provided by the hospitals in the province, it was announced the recovery of 56 COVID-19 patients:
- Central Hospital: 4 patients.
- Hospital Metraux: 8 pacientes.
- Hospital Scaravelli: 2 patients.
- Tagarelli Hospital: 3 patients.
- Argentine Nurses Hospital: 1 patient.
- Lencinas Hospital: 9 patients.
- Hospital Lagomaggiore: 2 pacientes.
- Hospital Espaol: 3 patients.
- Hospital El Carmen: 5 patients.
- Hotel Tupungato: 5 patients.
- Mendoza Hotels: 14 patients.
Mendoza has 2,923 confirmed positive cases. There are 60 imported cases of people who have arrived from other countries, 2,391 due to close contact with someone who came from another country or tested positive for COVID-19 and 472 in epidemiological investigation.
Also, the province has 947 people recovered and 63 deaths by COVID-19.
It is important to remember that the Ministry of Health of Mendoza reports on all patients who enter the public and private health system of the province. In cases where a person from Mendoza tests positive in other national jurisdictions because he is studying in another province, because he lives in another place without registering the change of address or because he is doing temporary work, he will not be registered as a confirmed case in Mendoza.
