Another record number of infections in Germany | Abroad

With the new infections added, the total number of German corona infections comes to 499,694. In the past 24 hours, an additional 77 deaths from Covid-19 were recorded, bringing the total death toll to 10,349.

The authorities announced on Wednesday that the country will be partially locked again on Monday to contain the spread of the virus. Bars and restaurants will be closed until the end of November, as will fitness studios, theaters and cinemas. Chancellor Angela Merkel warned that Germany is in danger of being in a “dramatic situation” and that the increasing number of corona cases will overload healthcare.
