Team leaders have not disclosed the identity of the instructor, who will miss Sunday’s game. The Browns shut down their training complex again to perform contact tracing, which has been the norm all week.

Previously, Chad O’Shea, a spaced wing instructor, tested positive. He will be replaced by Callie Brownson, Director of Personnel.

The Browns, who will advance to the playoffs for the first time since 2002 with a win on Sunday, saw seven players and two coaches receive positive results in the past week.

The team trained on Friday after canceling the session scheduled for Thursday. Because of additional cases and NFL protocols related to the coronavirus, the Browns trained for only an hour on Wednesday.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski had planned to conduct a final game plan review on Saturday, but it was delayed.

A week ago, the Browns were preparing to leave Cleveland for the New York area when a positive case led to the absence of several players, including the team’s top four wide wingers. The Browns suffered a 23-16 loss.

Facing the Steelers on Sunday, the Browns will be deprived of the services of cornerback Denzel Ward, linebackers BJ Goodson and Malcolm Smith, marauder Andrew Sendej and tight end Harrison Bryant.
