It’s been more than a month since the release of the next-gen version of The Witcher 3. Whereas the PS5 and XSX/S immediately performed well or very well, the PC edition ran into significant problems. CDPR dealt with some of them rather quickly, but players regularly report new ones and look forward to the next patch.
All indications are that they won’t have to wait long for a patch. A user asked CDPR Community Manager Marcin Momot on Twitter today about when we can expect the next update. He received an answer almost immediately.
We’ve been quietly working on this update for The Witcher 3 Next Gen and it looks like we’re in the final stages. It should be released pretty soon. We will let you know as soon as we can. In the meantime, thank you very much for your patience!
It’s worth noting that Marcin Momot didn’t specify if he was referring exclusively to the PC version or a cross-platform update. While the user’s question was about the former, it’s possible that CDPR is working on a patch for PC, PS5, and XSX/S.
