New Delhi: Another milestone awaits Indian player Virat Kohli as he prepares for the Twenty20 series against Australia.

Kohli is only 98 races from the finish of 11,000 races in the T20I. Kohli will become the first Indian player to score 98 points in the series against the Australians. Kohli currently has 10,902 runs averaging 40.37 from 349 games in IPL and international cricket. This includes six centuries and 80 fifties.

Kohli ended his century of drought of more than two and a half years by marking a century against Afghanistan in the previous Asian Cup. Along with this, after Suresh Raina, KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda and Harmanpreet Kaur, Kohli also became the seventh Indian player to mark a century in Twenty20. Kohli’s 122 unbeaten run against Afghanistan also made him the highest score by an Indian hitter in the T20I.

Aside from this record, Kohli is on the verge of becoming India’s second best scorer in international cricket. Kohli is just 62 points off Rahul Dravid’s tally of 24,064, which is currently second.
