Another Mexican is called to the MLB big team

This Monday was a more than good day for the nation of Mexican players in MLB, as two young prospects were activated by their teams on the 28-man roster.

First the news was confirmed that the Sonoran infielder, Isaac Paredes (21), had been called up by the Detroit Tigers, shortly after the MLB specialist in issues, Clinton Cole, announced that the outfielder Luis González (24), also Mexican, had been promoted by the Chicago White Sox to the big team.

González, like walls, is originally from Hermosillo, Sonora, both will have a golden opportunity to finally debut on the Big Show.

Luis González was selected by the White Sox in the third round of the 2017 Draft from the University of New Mexico, a team in which he also served as a pitcher for three seasons alternating in the outfield.

His numbers on offense in three White Sox minor league seasons are as follows: .269 batting average, 25 home runs and 145 RBIs in 310 games, most of them defending the center field.

The third week of August began with great news for the Mexican fans, but especially for those from the state of Sonora, the cradle of great players who have played in MLB such as: Fernando Valenzuela, Aurelio Rodríguez, Erubiel Durazo, Fernando Salas, Karim García, among many others who have put the name of Mexico in high places.
