Paraguay has been added to the list of Latin American countries that have registered the Russian Sputnik V vaccine “under the accelerated procedure”. Deliveries will be guaranteed by RFPI’s international partners in India, China, South Korea and other countries.

Paraguay’s health ministry has registered the Russian vaccine Sputnik V, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RFPI) has announced.

“The registration was done under a fast-track process without additional clinical trials in the state,” the Fund said.

The Russian vaccine has obtained authorization for emergency use there, as it has in Venezuela, Argentina, Bolivia, Serbia, Algeria and Palestine.

Deliveries will be guaranteed by RFPI’s international partners in India, China, South Korea and other countries.

The CEO of the Fund, Kirill Dmitriev, had previously indicated that the RFPI could form further partnerships with other states in the region in the coming weeks.
