Another hundred companies from Jaén receive ICO loans, almost 8,000 already in the pandemic



They have received 765.3 million euros in guarantees

A total of 8,579 between companies, SMEs and the self-employed in the province of Jaén have received the approval of 13,073 operations backed by ICO credits as of December 31 to guarantee their liquidity or face new investments within the lines promoted by the Government of Spain to counteract the economic effects of covid-19.

As reported on Monday by the Government Subdelegation in Jaén, these operations have allowed a total financing of 966.1 million to be guaranteed with 765.3 million euros.

Specifically, in the case of financing, the State Guarantee Line (RDL 15/2020) amounts to 100,000 million euros, from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, to facilitate the maintenance of employment and alleviate the economic effects of the health crisis. The guarantees are granted to the financing granted, by financial entities, to facilitate access to credit and liquidity to companies and the self-employed to face the economic and social impact of covid-19.

As of December 31, with this program a total of 11,697 operations corresponding to 7,473 companies have been guaranteed in Jaén. The total amount guaranteed is 688.4 million euros, which has allowed companies to receive 869.6 million in financing to guarantee their liquidity and cover their working capital needs.

More than a thousand in December

For its part, RD Law 25/2020, of July 3, in its article 1, approved a Line of Guarantees of 40,000 million euros, from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation. This line of guarantees focuses on financing coverage for current and capital expenses related to new investments or to the production and service process, the expansion, adaptation or renewal of equipment, facilities and capacities, as well as associated expenses. at the restart of the activity.

December has closed this program in Jaén guaranteeing 1,376 operations corresponding to 1,106 companies. The total amount of the ICO is 76.9 million euros. This has allowed companies to receive 96.5 million in financing to make new investments and cover their liquidity needs.

Together, the Liquidity and Investment Guarantee Lines have deployed guarantees amounting to 103,031 million euros throughout the national territory, which have made it possible to mobilize more than 135,382 million euros in financing towards the productive fabric in 1,148,187 operations, of which more than 98 percent have been signed by SMEs and freelancers.
