The automation of virtually any activity is a big trend in recent years, which is now reflected in another big exit of the domestic startup. The seven-year integration platform Integromat is bought by the German Celonis and the amount of the transaction, according to CzechCrunch, exceeded $ 100 million, ie 2.3 billion crowns.
This is another giant exit of the Czech company, a month ago announced sales in similar orders another domestic startup Socialbakers. The interesting thing about Integromat is that since its establishment in 2013, it has operated without external investments and debts, and at the same time, thanks to its rapid growth, it has been able to be profitable in the long run.
“This is a very fast growing market and we are used to the double growth of sales every year. At the same time, however, we perceive the huge potential of our technology, which together with Celonis can define a completely new dimension for systems, processes and human work, ” says Ondřej Gazda, CEO and co-founder of Integromat, about the acquisition.
The Czech platform can – simply put – connect 500 different independent applications and services that would not otherwise be able to communicate with each other. Thanks to this, it allows its more than 375 thousand users with 10,000 customers to automate tasks that would otherwise have to be complicated to enter through various interfaces or they had to do manually.

“We understand how user-friendly and simple automation must be in order to be widely accepted within the company. Our tremendous growth is just proof that there is an enormous demand for a new and completely different automation environment. ” adds Gazda, which held a stake in Integromat with five other partners.
As a concrete example of practical operation, Integromat mentions a global e-shop, which uses it to automate the process where a customer creates an order in one country, which then travels to the carrier, creates a shipment number and this is added to the order. At the end, the customer receives information about the complete order via SMS or e-mail and can comfortably watch how his goods are heading towards him.
“The complexity of systems is mainly caused by rigid and fragmented IT environments combined with the inability to interconnect and automate processes, applications and systems. Thanks to Integromat, we can help our customers choose a completely different approach and automate intuitively according to their needs, ” says Alex Rinke, one of Celonis’ founding directors.
Integromat will continue to operate independently under the brand even after the acquisition Integromat by Celonis. The German giant and leader in the field of digital process analysis, whose current valuation is around $ 2.5 billion, plans to implement the Czech solution into its new process strategy management platform.
The acquisition will bring together two fast-growing companies that will allow customers to create simple automations across hundreds of systems that people use in their day-to-day work. The acquisition of Integromat, its technologies and employees is complete, with Patrik Šimek, the technical director of the six original founders together with Gazda, remaining in the company.
