The Wizard’s Sixth Adventure kicks off on July 15, but advance ticket sales are going terribly.
The world premiere in London of the new, sixth film in the series about the adventures of the boy wizard – “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” ended the two-year wait for loyal fans. Hundreds of people braved the heavy rain that lashed central London on Tuesday night to watch the stars walk the drenched red carpet.
A Daniel Radcliffe fan named Sharon held up a sign that read, “Dan, Marry Me.” “I’m here every year, but he still hasn’t given me an answer,” shared the fan.
“Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” was supposed to be released in 2008, but the Hollywood studio “Warner Brothers” decided to postpone its release. Two years ago, the fifth film and the seventh, last book by J. K. Rowling, sparked an unprecedented global wave of Pottermania. “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” earned an impressive $938 million in ticket sales worldwide, and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” became the fastest-selling book.
In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Hogwarts School becomes increasingly vulnerable to attacks by the evil Lord Voldemort. Headmaster Albus Dumbledore’s confidence in Harry Potter grows and he is determined to prepare him for the big showdown with Voldemort.
In the sixth film, in addition to a variety of enemies, Harry and company face another challenge – their own hormones. Experts describe the tape as an interweaving of a romantic comedy with the world of magic.
“I think this movie has a richer comedic edge than the previous ones. It’s very good. I hope everyone watches it and enjoys it,” says Daniel Radcliffe.
The movie “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” is released on July 15. The first five tapes of the series about the adventures of the boy wizard brought in revenues of 4.5 billion dollars. Fans will see two more movies because of the sheer volume of J.J.’s latest book. K. Rowling. The seventh film is due to be released in November 2010 and the eighth in summer 2011.
Advance ticket sales for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince are surpassing those of current champion Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
