Another person has died at the dance festival Tomorrowland. The Belgian public prosecutor’s office confirmed this on Saturday. Last week, an employee of the festival in Boom died of drug use.
A thirty-something with Thai nationality was found unconscious on the Tomorrowland grounds on Friday evening. The victim later died in hospital.
A spokesperson for the festival is late HLN know that resuscitation has taken place in one of the VIP zones on the festival site. It is not yet clear what the cause of death is. “The circumstances are currently being investigated. An investigating judge has been requested and an autopsy will follow,” says Lieselotte Claessens of the Antwerp public prosecutor’s office. HLN.
Last week, a 26-year-old Tomorrowland employee died of drug use. The man from Mechelen died at the campsite where the employees of the festival are staying.
Tomorrowland is one of the largest dance festivals in the world. The festival in the Belgian town of Boom lasts two weekends, the last day is on July 30.
