The series Cursed comes to an end after 1 season on Netflix, which is quite painful.
And yet another Netflix Original series falls. Cursed debuted on the streaming service last summer, but will be discontinued after just 1 season.
Of course, that was coming, given that in all the time that has passed since the debut of the first season, we hadn’t heard anything. Even now, Netflix has not announced a formal cancellation, but we hear via Deadline that the cast members are ‘free’ from their contracts. That means they can now look for work elsewhere without having to consider their contracts with Netflix.
No second season
The cancellation is a big disappointment for fans. But it can’t be a big surprise given Netflix’s silence.
Serial Cursed debuted a year ago and we haven’t heard anything about a possible new season since. That is usually not a good sign.
In addition, Netflix also has two other major fantasy series that will just get a new season and have a huge budget. It already seemed that Cursed would not survive the summer.
In the series, Katherine Langford plays a young woman with great powers and abilities. She gradually becomes the Lady of the Lake from the legends surrounding King Arthur. Unfortunately, the first season ended on a major cliffhanger, with Daniel Sharman as Lancelot, the beloved knight of the round table.
