Another drop in the number of new cases of COVID-19, more than 4,000 people were hospitalized

The number of new cases of coronavirus decreased both as an absolute number and as a percentage. 1640 are the newly discovered cases for September 4, and they mark an increase of 76 on a daily basis, after the cases opened on Thursday were 1564. 30 011 tests were performed (PCR and antigenic), ie. by 4212 more than the reported 25,799 days earlier. Thus, the percentage of positive samples decreases again – from 6.06% to 5.46 percent.

For the day there are 20,336 antigen tests, 864 are positive, ie. 4.24% positive samples. For comparison, in the previous report there were 17,533 antigen tests, of which 787 were positive, ie. 4.48%. PCR tests are 9675, positive of which are 776, ie. 8.02 percent. On Wednesday, this type of tests were 8266, with positive of them – 777, ie. 9.39 percent.

The total confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria are already 460 691. 2 434 531 PCR and 1 871 973 antigen tests were performed (4 306 504 in total), as the average percentage of positive samples since the beginning of the pandemic is 10.69 percent or a decrease of 0.04% on a daily basis.

Thus, the total number of those who lost the battle with the virus in Bulgaria is already 19,051. A total of 13,915 medical personnel are among the official cases of coronavirus, ie. by 18 more. There are 26,149 under quarantine – 778 more on a daily basis.

298.2 is the 14-day morbidity per 100,000 people compared to 294.27 in yesterday’s report. 152.49 is the 7-day morbidity per 100,000 people compared to 153.54 in yesterday’s report. 8.56 is the 14-day mortality rate per 100,000 people compared to 8.14 in yesterday’s report.
