The noise occurred during the process of capturing an unknown flight by the military and awaiting emergency power from the Air Force, but following confirmation it was reported that it was not a North Korean drone trail.

At 0:40 this morning, in the sky above Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province, I heard a loud noise as the plane took off.

In Incheon and Seoul, there were reports of being startled by the noise of fighter planes and concerns were raised again that North Korean drones had invaded the airspace.

“I could hear it breaking into the TV sound like a roar, so there was a long sound nearby, like when an airplane is flying low.”

That noise arose as the military responded to an unknown trail that occurred early this morning on the Western Front.

Flight trails were captured by radar, and Air Force emergency fighters were dispatched to northern Gyeonggi and Incheon.

Earlier, around 1:00 pm yesterday, the military captured an unidentified flying object with radar in Paju, Gyeonggi-do.

The military saw the possibility of another North Korean drone invasion and began following it up by mobilizing Air Force fighter jets and Army helicopters.

And around 15:00, text messages of the disaster were sent to local residents saying, “A drone was observed in Seokmodo area of Ganghwa-gun” and “Please pay attention to safety”.

However, after about 3 hours of detection, the military finally confirmed that the flying object was not a drone.

Upon close inspection by our military pilot, it turned out to be a flock of birds, not a drone.

On radars that normally detect flying objects, they may not be clearly distinguishable from similarly sized flocks of birds.

However, as the North Korean drone invasion may continue, it appears that the bolstering of equipment and manpower to bolster detection capabilities should be done quickly.
