Last night another door of a house was blown up in Dijkmanshuizenstraat in Nieuwendam. Presumably this was also done with heavy fireworks. Last week, the same happened at a neighboring house.

The house whose door was blown up last night was hit by several bullets at the end of July. At the time of the bombing, a family with children was sleeping in the house. No one was hurt.
Local residents were startled by several bangs that night around 05:00. At least four bullets appeared to have been fired at a window of a house on the ground floor.
It is not clear why the house was shot at at the time. The police are investigating.
A local resident who wants to remain anonymous says: ‘There was another huge bang just after three o’clock last night. At that house that had already been shot at and where the neighbor’s door was damaged by fireworks this week. We as local residents are afraid. We wonder: why is there no CCTV or why is the mayor not closing the house? It’s very scary. We as local residents want measures to be taken, if this had happened at a pub, for example, it would have been closed by the mayor for a long time. ‘
