The death of the doctor occurred in the early hours of yesterday, Sunday, after several days of hospitalization in a health center. He is the sixth doctor to die from COVID-19 in Alto Paraná.
González Ortiz was a surgeon, specialized in otorhinolaryngology, and served as technical manager of the Tesãi Foundation and in recent years managed a private clinic in Hernandarias.
The doctor also had a well-known political background within the Colorado Party. He was president of the Hernandarias section, member of the ANR Governing Board and conventional constituent for the preparation of the 1992 National Constitution.
Last Thursday, the pediatrician of the IPS Hospital of Hernandarias Gloria Rojas (45) died as a result of COVID. The health professional and her parents had also refused to receive the vaccine and all three died.
