Another dead woman at the hands of her husband, Marta leaves three daughters

A man killed, on the afternoon of last Sunday, the woman with shotgun shots, in Casais de Amendoeira, in the municipality of Azambuja. Marta Figueiredo was about 40 years old and died immediately at the hands of her 56-year-old husband, who subsequently committed suicide. The couple leaves orphaned three daughters, the youngest is three years old.

According to a source at the GNR General Command, cited by the Lusa agency, the crime occurred in the context of domestic violence.

“As a result of a discussion of domestic violence, the [alegado] husband shot his partner with a shotgun and fled. We had information about his fate and when we found him he was dead, he eventually committed suicide with another weapon, ”said the source.

The alert was received at 6:30 pm, but it has not yet been determined whether the woman was the killer’s wife or partner, or the ages of both.

The firefighters, the GNR and the INEM were on site, as confirmed by the District Command of Relief Operations (CDOS) of Lisbon.

According to the Correio da Manhã, the couple had three daughters, aged 3, 15 and 19, and they were separating.
