Ministry of Interior issued accreditation for the administration of a qualified electronic identification system to another banking house in the Czech Republic. Česká spořitelna thus took a fundamental step towards being able to provide the so-called Bank Identity (BankID) services next year.
This should give the bank’s clients the opportunity to log in to the state’s services with data from their internet banking. The bank identity is due to start operating in 2021, the exact date is not yet known.

Česká spořitelna is the second bank to receive accreditation. In October, her also received ČSOB. People can now also log in to e-government systems with an e-Citizen, a chip card from the First Certification Authority or by logging in via the MyID of the CZ.NIC association.
