Zbrojovka players drew 2:2 with Vlašimi in the 12th round of the Chance National League. The home team played the match well and led 2:0 after two goals from Adam Kronus in the 80th minute. But then came a horror three-minute period, during which Vlaši managed to equalize. Brno is waiting for a second league victory for seven matches in a row, while Středočesi did not leave empty-handed for the sixth time in a row. The second Brno club from Lišně also drew.
The afternoon match of the 12th round of the Chance National League offered a duel between Zbrojovka Brno and guests from Vlašimi. The difference between the two teams was more than abysmal before the match, as the Central Bohemians occupied the fourth place in the table, while the Moravians were in the relegation zone.
However, it was the home side who were the first to win at the Municipal Football Stadium in Brno. Although Vlašim had more of the game at the beginning of the match, then Adam Kronus fired from more than twenty-five meters and his shot went behind the back of the crippled goalkeeper Marek Kolář. Kronus could have added another fantastic goal five minutes later, but this time the shot missed the visiting goalkeeper’s left post.
Vlašim tried to equalize in the rest of the first half, but the home players operated more with the ball on their boots. So it was a more favorable situation for coach Jaroslav Hynek’s wards.
The home team started the second half better. And there was Hurricane Kronus again. In the 59th minute, the Brno forward headed Filip Štěpánek’s shot from behind the penalty area and sent the ball into Kolář’s counter-movement. Vlašimi managed to reduce it only in the 80th minute. Substitute Martin Šubert appeared unguarded in the big box and cleared the ball to the left post of Filip Mucha’s goal with a patter.
The Brno team didn’t even have time to recover from the conceded goal and were already hunting the ball out of the net for the second time. Jakub Hodek got to the rebounded ball from the left side on a small goal and again shot through the helpless Mucha.
Brno was thus unable to win even for the seventh time in a row on the second league ground and only takes a point. However, it has at least temporarily come off the bottom of the table and the next match awaits them on October 20 against Žižkov. Vlašim moved to third place, which it will defend on October 18 in the match against Táborsk.
Táborsko entered the duel in a good mood. After a tragic start to the season, they clawed their way up the table, picking up eight points from the last four matches. In the opposite mood was his opponent from Brno, who managed a two-goal lead in the last round in the home match against the reserve of Sparta Prague.
In the dry weather, the first chance came at the end of the fifth minute, when Kateřiňák presented himself with a penetration pass, which challenged Daniel Hais. But he couldn’t handle the ball, so he decided to go into the slide in an attempt to finish. However, this was a very imprudent decision, as Hais not only did not hit the ball properly, but even caused a bloody injury to the running goalkeeper Tomáš Vajner.
The game calmed down significantly after that, neither team had any significant quality going forward. Everything changed in the 27th minute, when Rolinek, following the example of Suárez, prevented the ball from crossing the goal line with his hands, which the referee awarded with a penalty kick accompanied by a red card. Kateřiňák stood up for the subsequent penalty, but he criminally despised the opportunity when, after a slow start, he sent the ball high over the top post. Just before going to the dressing room, Marek Polášek froze the home audience with a precise ground finish, which took advantage of Václav Dudl’s perfect recording.
Shortly after the change of sides, Táborsko took advantage of the advantage. Jakub Barac was to blame for this, as he broke through the visitors’ goal like a bulldog and equalized from close range. Hais could have turned the score around, but his header went over the crossbar. Around 20 minutes before the end, Petr Heppner, the home team, went to the cabins prematurely, whose exclusion again equalized the duel numerically. The rest of the match did not offer a goal, so both teams remained in their positions in the middle of the table.
