Another allegation of sexual misconduct against New York Governor

Albany. There is another allegation of sexual misconduct against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. The Democrat grabbed a woman under the shirt in the governor’s official residence and touched her, the Times Union newspaper reported on Wednesday (local time), citing a source who knew directly about the woman’s allegation.

The woman was not mentioned by name. The accusation is the most serious so far against Cuomo, who dismissed the accusation about his press representation: “I have never done anything like that.” Nevertheless, calls for resignation became louder against him.

According to the Times Union report, the governor called the woman to the so-called Executive Mansion in Albany, New York, and said he needed help with his smartphone. Cuomo refuses to resign

Cuomo has already denied touching someone inappropriately. But he is sorry if someone has felt uncomfortable because of him, that was not his intention. He refused to resign.

The woman’s allegation came to light, according to the newspaper, when his employees were watching his press conference on March 3 – the first since the end of February to make allegations. At the conference, he denied ever touching a woman inappropriately – and the alleged victim became emotional in response. She told a manager about her meetings with the governor; he touched her and made flirty comments several times.

Some party colleagues are calling for Cuomo’s resignation

Some of Cuomo’s Democratic party colleagues are calling for his resignation. With the credible, growing allegations, the Democrats are now in a position to remove the governor from office, said Jessica González-Rojas, who sits in the New York Chamber of Deputies.

“How can we allow this man to run our state? We have to remove him from office, ”tweeted the also Democratic MP Zohran Kwame Mamdani on Wednesday evening (local time). Republican Mike Lawler called Cuomo a “sexual predator” that must be held accountable.
