Mohan Kapur, who stars with underage actresses in the latest Marvel series on Disney+, has been accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
Actor Mohan Kapur, famous for playing Kamala Khan’s father in the Disney+ series Nobody Saw, “Ms. Marvel“, was accused of sexual perversion of minors and sexual harassment by pedophiles.
Specialized medium BoundingIntoComics investigated the complaints of a woman named Shania, whose Twitter user is @Nayaaaax3. This woman, now 21, accused Nov. 27 of being the victim of sexual predation by the Hollywood actor when she was 14.
“When I was 14, I was a fan of a soap actress and we became friends,” she wrote. “Her partner at the time was @mohankapur and he became my friend as well. I respected them both almost like second parents and told them about my stressful life. But @mohankapur took advantage of me.”
While she did not indicate who her partner was, it is clear that it is Indian soap opera star Acint Kaur. The Marvel actor dated her for 16 years until they finally broke up in 2015, so it must have been before that year.
The alleged victim went on to explain that she was “constantly talking” to Mohan Kapur, posting screenshots of her conversations with Kapur as proof. “We talked constantly until I noticed he started flirting with me. Then when I was 15, @mohankapur sent me pics of her penis. He apologized nonstop and was depressed… I forgave him. But after that he continued to harass me…”
“He said things like he was in love with me, he wanted to marry me, he wanted me to grow up to be with him, and he couldn’t wait for me to get old so I could sleep with him. Now I know @mohankapur was sexually perverting me,” she said.
Furthermore, the victim claims that Acint Kaur was fully aware of her partner’s pedophile actions and protected him. “His (now ex) partner knew what kind of man he was…. He knew he was talking to me. When I met her in person, I told her everything that was happening. A year later I stopped talking to him after she started criticizing me. I was so depressed by this situation…”
Furthermore, she explained how Mohan Kapur’s partner allegedly “didn’t care at all” about what was going on. She “she told me ‘I didn’t throw my bags on her’…. I really felt like this woman didn’t care at all what @mohankapur was doing to me…”
“I was so confused and depressed…. I’m not sure if it’s stockholm syndrome or what, but i kept thinking it was all my fault…and i kept wishing i was friends with him again. I kept thinking he really cared about me… but he didn’t,” the victim continued.
As he explains in his publications, it got to the point where he started considering suicide due to the constant harassment. “My depression got worse and I was planning to take my own life…. I kept calling @mohankapur to confront him…he ignored my calls…he kept saying that he cannot trust me…” she explained.
“Last I spoke to @mohankapur was in 2020 and I was crying… I said I couldn’t take it anymore and I would take my own life… Hoping he would apologize and understand the trauma he had me caused, he said.
“Instead, she told me that she can’t trust me and that the only way she can trust me again is if…I sent her nudes…that was the only way I could be of your new friend,” he concluded. .
Since that tweet, the victim has blocked her account because her post was going viral. However, the investigation, continued by The Direct, found how the thread continued:
“What @mohankapur says to me when I try to defend myself, does that make sense MOHAN????” she wrote angrily, sharing a chat pic.
“Why did you ask me to send you nudes?” asks @Nayaaaax3, to which Kapur replies: “To keep your intentions as proof. You misinterpreted our conversations to make it sound like you were sexually harassing yourself. I also have all the stuff. I don’t say things because that’s not what friends do. Me niether”.
As of now, the Ms. Marvel actor hasn’t referred to the allegations, but he has blocked his social networks and has since stopped tweeting. Mohan Kapur has already been confirmed to return as Kamala Khan’s father in The Marvels film, along with the rest of the Khan family and actress Brie Larson.
However, Disney has released actors on infinitely less troubling charges, and that their role in the film is so close to underage actresses is truly alarming. According to The Direct, unnamed sources within the entertainment company say they are waiting for the actor to receive a court complaint, which they have not done with other actors or directors who have disassociated themselves over the allegations.
