In Lithuania, another 589 people were confirmed infected with the new coronavir and 24 deaths were caused by Covid-19, Statistics Lithuania announced on Saturday.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 204,954 people have been diagnosed with the new coronavirus in the country and 191,197 have been confirmed to recover.
Covid-19 claimed a total of 3,389 lives in Lithuania.
According to the data of the Department of Statistics, the 14-day cumulative number of infections per 100,000 population on March 12 in Lithuania is 220.4.
A total of 252,097 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 in Lithuania, of whom 97,883 also received the second dose of the vaccine.
The number of Lithuanians potentially immune to the new coronavirus has reached 10.7% of the total population.
