Another 407 people were confirmed infected with the new coronavir in Lithuania last day, as well as five new deaths with the virus-related disease Covid-19 were registered, the Statistics Department announced on Sunday.
8524 analyzes were performed last day, and the proportion of positive tests was 4.8%. A total of 4,491,026 analyzes were performed in Lithuania.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 293,767 people have been diagnosed with the new coronavirus in the country, and 276,037 people have been confirmed to recover.
A total of 4487 people died in Lithuania with Covid-19.
453 Covid-19 patients are currently being treated in hospitals, 58 of whom are in resuscitation. 35 patients undergo artificial lung ventilation, while 383 patients are treated with oxygen masks.
According to the data of the Department of Statistics, the 14-day cumulative number of infections per 100,000 population in Lithuania has increased to 273.1.
A total of 1,608,606 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in Lithuania, including 1,435,091 people who have been vaccinated.
