Another 3,368 people became infected with the coronavirus in Lithuania and 2,394 in Estonia

More than 3,368 people were confirmed infected with the coronavir virus in Lithuania last day, and nine deaths were caused by Covid-19, the Statistics Department said on Sunday.

14,684 analyzes were performed last day and the proportion of positive tests was 22.9%. A total of 7,212,246 analyzes were performed in Lithuania.

Since the start of the pandemic, 567,921 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection in the country.

A total of 7,654 people died with Covid-19 in Lithuania.

1046 Covid-19 patients are currently being treated in hospitals, 89 of whom are in resuscitation.

According to the Department of Statistics, the 14-day cumulative number of infections per 100,000 population in Lithuania has increased to 1,608.9.

A total of 1,934,638 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in Lithuania, including 1,849,137 primary vaccination courses. 812,141 people received booster vaccinations.

In Estonia, more than 2,394 people were diagnosed with the coronavirus during the day, and three deaths were caused by Covid-19, the health department said on Sunday.

9227 analyzes were performed last day, thus the proportion of positive tests was 25.9%. A total of 2,651,024 tests have been performed in Estonia since the beginning of the pandemic to detect coronavirus infection.

The total number of confirmed infections in Estonia has reached 267,095.

A total of 1,799 people died in Estonia with Covid-19.

280 Covid-19 patients are currently being treated in hospitals. 207 of them have a severe course of the disease.

The 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population, estimated by the Estonian Department of Health, has risen to 1,847.29.

A total of 849,567 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in Estonia, including 823,673 people who have completed their primary vaccination course. 342,621 people received booster vaccinations.
