The search for Pericles continued today without result
Without a lawyer, a 38-year-old and a 71-year-old man appeared today at the Limassol provincial court, who did not object to the renewal of their detention order, for another three days, in connection with the case of the disappearance of 31-year-old Angelos Perikleos. A 25-year-old man is being held as the main suspect, against whom, among other things, the offense of premeditated murder is being investigated.
The offenses of conspiracy to commit a felony, kidnapping with intent to murder and arson of the 31-year-old’s vehicle, which was found burned on April 21, in the area of the shooting range in Paliometochos, are being investigated against the two.
At the same time, the search for Perikleos, who, according to the testimony of the 71-year-old uncle of the 25-year-old, allegedly shot and buried, continues today in the province of Limassol.
As reported in court by the case’s investigator, the 71-year-old appears willing to point to additional sites, which his 25-year-old nephew allegedly visited and inspected, for the premeditated plan to kill Pericles.
The two suspects have given various details about their involvement in the case, said the investigator, expressing the belief that there will be a full investigation.
Besides, as stated in his statements by the head of the TAE Limassol, Lefteris Kyriakou, “the examinations for this case are at an advanced stage and today the investigations continue in the area of the Governor’s Beach and Moni, with the participation of the Civil Defense, the Police and drones’.
“It is expected that, after the examinations are completed, the file will be forwarded to the Legal Service”, he added.
It is recalled that the detention order of the 25-year-old main suspect, who according to testimonies had “very conflictual relations” with the 31-year-old, as mentioned in court, was renewed for another eight days last Tuesday.
