Another 11,940 people have been infected with coronavirus in Lithuania; in Estonia

Of the new infections in Lithuania, 10,179 were first – time infections, 1,745 were second-time infections and 16 were third-time infections. Previously, the Statistics Department published data only on cases of infection of a person for the first time, but since the end of last week, data on cases of reinfection are also published.

Last day 24 060 analyzes were carried out and the share of positive tests was 49.6%.

Since the start of the pandemic, 7,863,573 analyses have been carried out in Lithuania and 787,552 cases of coronavirus infection have been identified.

With Covid-19, a total of 8,046 people died in Lithuania.

Hospitals currently have 1652 Covid-19 patients, 86 of whom are being treated in intensive care.

According to the Statistics Department, the 14-day cumulative number of infections per 100 000 population in Lithuania decreased to 5265.4.

A total of 1,944,309 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 in Lithuania, including 1,865,701 people who completed the primary vaccination course. 898,685 people received maintenance vaccination.

Meanwhile, 11 433 tests were carried out in Estonia over the past day, thus the share of positive tests was 31.4%.

Since the start of the pandemic, 2,946,562 analyses have been carried out in Estonia and 405,101 cases of coronavirus infection have been identified.

A total of 2,095 people died with Covid-19 in Estonia.

In hospitals, 438 Covid-19 patients are currently treated, in 282 of them the course of the disease is severe.

The 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100 000 population has increased to 6879.66, calculated by the Estonian Department of Health.

A total of 855 694 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 in Estonia, including 833 499 people who completed the primary vaccination course. 416,778 people received maintenance vaccination.
