In Lithuania, infection of the new coronavir was confirmed in 117 people last day, as well as two new deaths with the virus-related disease Covid-19 were registered, the Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday.
A total of 5,484 people have been diagnosed with the virus in the country, and recovery has been confirmed for 2,497 people.
7277 analyzes were performed last day, thus 1.6% of tests were positive. A total of 815,260 analyzes were performed in Lithuania.
The disease caused by the virus has claimed the lives of 101 people in Lithuania, but another 19 people infected with the virus were the cause of death. Two deaths of Covid-19 were reported in the past day.
According to the Lithuanian National Center for Public Health, the 14-day cumulative number of infections per 100,000 population on October 7 in Lithuania is 55.5.
