According to the witnesses, who wish to remain anonymous, inspectors noticed a few months ago that things went wrong at the company’s branch in Ghent. “People there sometimes worked as contact tracers for the government, and sometimes as telephonists for a private company. But when they worked for a private company, they were reminded by their team leaders that they also had to indicate that they were taking a course as a contact tracer. That way they were also paid by the Flemish government, and so the company passed the checkout twice.” According to our witnesses, this happened without any hesitation, while the quality controllers could see it.
