Anonymous wanted 1.5 million for the release of Miss Křížková’s husband

“It was not possible to gather evidence on the basis of which we could have initiated a criminal case against a specific person,” regional police spokeswoman Dagmar Brožová told Práv, adding that they considered the case to be extortion.

As Právo found out, Křížková received the first message last September. It was in her heart not to naively think that her husband would get out of prison before her. In another message, the unknown person promises that she can arrange Křížka’s parole. She wanted to pay 1.6 million kroner for it. In her instructions, she emphasized that she does not ask for the money up front, but when the athlete leaves the prison gate.

Křížková filed a criminal complaint through her lawyer Lukáš Trojan. In it it is written that the texts of the emails to Křížková provoke threats of “doing something against her will” from her.

The winner of the competition for the most beautiful Czech woman in 2003 declined to comment on the whole affair. She only confirmed that the court is expected to decide on her husband’s conditional release this March. Křížek entered prison the year before last July. According to his partner, he has a chance of parole after serving a third of his sentence, i.e. in two months at the latest.

The court of the place where the offender is located decides this. In the case of Křížek, who is serving his sentence in Stráž pod Ralskem, it is the District Court of Česká Lípa.

The parole decision is not automatic. In particular, the court examines whether the convicted person has shown that he has improved through his behavior and the performance of her duties and can expect him to lead an orderly life in the future.

The court panel will decide

“So far, the court has not received any request for Mr. Křížek’s conditional release. It is being submitted through the prison director,” replied Zuzana Bohatá Koldovská, deputy chairman of the Českolip District Court, who was responsible for the agenda, to Prava’s question conditional release of convicts.

According to him, however, he knows nothing of the police investigation regarding the possible influence of the court decision. “I haven’t even received any offers for a bribe. No one can predict how the court will decide. If I’m not mistaken, the senate should also decide in this specific case. Besides us, the prosecutor is also present at the meeting,” he said. added the judge.

The court sent Křížek to prison for helping to dig a tunnel in the Kampelíčka Metropolitan Savings Cooperative (MSD) with damages worth more than one hundred million. In addition to prison, he was banned from business for six years. In imposing the sentence, the court took into account in particular Křížka’s former integrity and also the fact that, in his opinion, he was substantially abused by people whom he blindly trusted and who organized the activity criminal.
