Anonymous CD Project RED Cyberpunk 2077 developer: “Sony Japan is furious”

What should have been a great release has fallen into a lot of trouble at developer CD Projekt RED. Cyberpunk 2077 does not run on older platforms, many promised features and content are absent and consumers are requesting a refund en masse. The developer has indicated several times to rectify everything, but this will take some time.

In the meantime, it has also become possible to get a refund through the PlayStation Store, where Sony took the very drastic measure of even removing the game from the Store. An anonymous developer is talking about this now shared and it turns out Sony was ‘furious’ about the high rate of refund requests.

Sony Japan in particular would have been “particularly outraged” about the situation. This is partly because CD Projekt RED Sony, but also Microsoft, had promised that the poor performance of the game between the gold master and the actual release would be fixed. Something that did not happen.

Sony and the developer have now sat around the table and honoring refunds has emerged as a result. That is something, but at the studio in Poland it does not look good. For example, there could be an exodus of people in the coming months and the morale of the developers has never been lower.

In addition, the first major updates to fix the performance would not be released until mid-March and not before, despite the top guys having indicated that to CD Projekt RED. Just like us previous message about the omitted content, it also applies here that this has not been officially confirmed and that you should take it with a grain of salt.
