“We have known each other for a long time,” explains Félix. Laurène was close to Thérapie Taxi and even appears in music videos. Before, there were different youth projects, when we were students. When they stopped, only Laurène and me remained. »
The musician and the autodidact
The two young people have different musical backgrounds. Laurène studied the oboe at the Valencienne conservatory, before joining the Paris conservatory in a singing, dance, theater and writing class. She has worked in the world of opera and musical comedies. “I am self-taught,” continues Félix. We first had to find a working process between us, whether in the studio or during concerts. »
His experience, acquired with Thérapie Taxi, was useful. “It remains an important moment for all of us, even if everyone has gone on to their own projects. For me, it’s Venus VNR,” he emphasizes.
Signed in 2019 by the Stuperflip label, Laurène and Félix very quickly had the opportunity to perform opening acts. “People didn’t come for us, but little by little, our fan zone developed,” notes Félix.
In their journey, social networks exist, but do not occupy a preponderant place. “We prefer the stage. It also allowed us to meet important people. » The duo can be found on the Vice Versa playlists on Spotify and Hit Français on Apple Music and have more than two million views.
Meet at the Stables
Every week, the Écuries de Baroja residence is occupied by a group or an artist. With the finale a free concert in the little cocoon of around a hundred seats. Album project
In 2022, their first album “Anomalie” – with the single “Un plan simple” – opens the doors to shows like Culturebox on France 4, Basique on France 2 and moving to Coté club, on France Inter. They also appear on the airwaves of Europe 2 or FIP.
