Annual Vocational Education Congress (jakobb) digital for the first time this year

The annual vocational training congress (jakobb) will take place again on December 7th-8th, 2020 – completely digital for the first time. This year the event is free of charge for participants.

Under the motto “Designing learning and working worlds for the future”, this year’s jakobb digital will have an extensive program with lectures, workshops and virtual excursions that will deal with the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow’s training.

The keynotes this year come from Dr. Stefan Kaufmann (former head of the inquiry commission “Vocational training in the digital world of work”) and Prof. Dr. Marco Huber (Fraunhofer IPA) on the subject of “Innovative working environments”. In addition, relevant topics of in-company and school training, such as digitization in training, are dealt with. Numerous workshops with practical content are planned.

On the second day of the congress there is the opportunity to take part in exciting virtual excursions to modern company or school training centers.

The organizers of the congress are Klett MINT GmbH, the Federal Institute for Vocational Training (BIBB) and the Baden-Württemberg Vocational School Teachers Association (BLV) in close cooperation with the Stuttgart Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Jakobb digital’s partners are the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport and World Skills Germany. The patron is Dr. Susanne Eisenmann, Minister for Culture, Youth and Sport of the State of Baden-Württemberg.
