Annual Report on Taxi Prices in Spain: Ranking of Cities with the Cheapest and Most Expensive Services

FACUA has already published its annual report on the price of taxis in Spain and with the naked eye it already makes some relevant data quite clear. And it is that between 57 cities throughout the Spanish territory that they have analysed, the price difference between some of them can reach up to 125%. Also, this year rates have increased by 2% on average.

To carry out this analysis, facua has taken into account variables such as the day and night rate, the average distance of the journeys, the price of the lowering of the flag, the type of population, whether it is the capital of the province or notetc.

Ranking of cities with the cheapest and most expensive taxi service

The cities where the average cost of using a taxi is higher are: Tarragona, San Sebastián, Madrid, Vitoria, Badajoz, Teruel, Lleida, Soria, Girona, Pamplona, ​​Santiago de Compostela, Logroño, Málaga y Murcia.

On the contrary, where it is cheaper is in: Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Ceuta, Cádiz, Huelva, Melilla, Almería, Jaén, Jerez de la Frontera, Huesca, Córdoba, Guadalajara y Santa Cruz of Tenerife.

Other relevant data from the analysis

as we said, the price per kilometer with respect to the previous year has increased by 2.2% (0.96 euros during the day, on average) during the day and 1.9% at night (1.18 euros during the day, on average).

Besides, the minimum race at night and weekends costs 4.61 euros on average.

Finally, the cities where the kilometer traveled is more expensive are Barcelona (1,21 euros), Castellon y Madrid (1.15 euros), and Ourense (1.10 euros), during the day, and Barcelona (1,45 euros), Pontevedra (1.43 euros) and Madrid (1.40 euros) during the night.
