The main content of the festival will be chamber music, which will be performed by ensembles made up of Liepaja Symphony Orchestra musicians, inviting other soloists as well. “The musicians of the orchestra started working on the programs already in November, creating them, and in December we put it all together and looked at where and what could happen,” explains conductor Guntis Kuzma, “the joy that not only the musicians of our orchestra played with each other, but also invited their closest stage friends.” Guntis Kuzma emphasizes that when traveling to the venues of the “Rimbenieks” festival, it is also possible to see various Latvian cities and attractions.
On August 5, Liepāja Symphony Orchestra invites music lovers to the annual musical adventure “Liepāja sounds in Rundāle Palace”. This year, the festival program includes three events, which thematically will connect the history of culture and art from the ancient world to the present day. “For ten years now, we have been visiting Rundal with this one-day festival,” said Guntis Kuzma.
