The Sainte-Marie de Chartres college organized its annual cross country on Wednesday morning in Bas-Bourgs, after four years of interruption. A sporting and friendly event.
780 young people were gathered in the stand, quickly warmed up by the music, the cries of joy and encouragement which did not stop during the events. All classes participated. Physical preparation for endurance has been provided since the start of the school year by their physical education and sports (PES) teachers, as part of their teaching.
The students, divided into eight categories, set off every 15 minutes for a course ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 meters. The first fifteen in each category qualify to participate in the departmental cross-country race scheduled for November 8, at the Chartres racecourse. Around sixty people (teachers, nurses, parents, volunteers, etc.) were involved in the organization and logistics.
