The annual congress of the local top hotel industry invites you to Salzburg this year. The President of the Austrian Hotel Association (ÖHV), Walter Veit, welcomes around 700 participants to the Salzburg Congress from 22 to 24 January. In the midst of multiple challenges in the economic and geopolitical environment, the motto of the industry meeting this time is “Shape change!”.

The program includes discussions and lectures on the topic “Where is Europe’s economy headed in the next few years”. The industry would like to prepare for this and develop strategies. According to the ÖHV, she not only wants to react, but – as far as possible – also actively steer the change.

The congress is intended to provide “food for thought, assistance and very clear solutions to the key issues of ‘guests of the future, employees, technology and energy'”.

The speakers announced include the Secretary of State for Tourism, Susanne Kraus-Winkler, and Lars Feld, Chairman of the Economic Wise Men in Germany. The long list of guests also includes the Governor of Salzburg, Wilfried Haslauer, and the First Vice President of the EU Parliament, Othmar Karas.
