After a successful year, the Quilpue Audiovisual Cultural Center come back with one billboard of various activities in format digital and face-to-facewhich will be carried out during 2023 in the communes of Quilpué, Villa Alemana, Quillota, Casablanca, Quintero, Llay Llay and Cabildo.
The annual billboard includes only Chilean film performances and all are with free admission. Within the programming, there will be national premieres, shows aimed at school audiences and the elderly, as well as the return of the successful drive-in cinema in all communes.
The initiative is financed by the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage through its Support Program for Collaborating Cultural Organizations, sponsored by the Municipality of Quilpué and has the collaboration of the Municipality of Villa Alemana, EFE Trenes Valparaíso , Portal Belloto, Duoc Viña de Mar and the municipalities of Quillota, Casablanca, Llay Llay, Quintero and Cabildo in conjunction with Servicio País.
To begin its annual activities and in the women’s month framewill be presented two notable films Chilean women who portray a look at Chilean women and who, in addition, claim and question the way of representing Chilean women in the cinema.
The first function will be Wednesday March 29 at 7:00 p.m. in it Juan Bustos Ramírez de Quilpué Municipal Theaterwhere the film will be screened “1976”, which directed by Manuela Martelli and starring Aline Küppenheim, highlights the role of women during the dictatorship. After the show, there will be a face-to-face discussion with the actor Hugo Medina and the film’s art director, Francisca Correa.
The second function will be thursday 30 at 6:30 pm in it Gabriela Mistral Cultural Centerin which it will be displayed “The penalty”by director Matías Bize and starringzada by Antonia Zegers, Néstor Cantillana and Catalina Saavedra, who after the performance, will be conversing with the public in person.
The film invites us to reflect on the role of being a mother through the exploration of the thriller. Currently, the film continues its journey through festivals, its director, Matías Bize, being recognized, winner of the Biznaga de Plata for Best Director, at the 26th Malaga Festival, Spain.
Formation activities
will be performed face-to-face workshops of audiovisual creation in all communesboth for students and community organizations, thanks to an alliance with MAFI, Cero en Conducta and other important personalities from our cinema.

About CC Quilpue Audiovisual
The Quilpué Audiovisual Cultural Center was born in 2008 with the aim of developing cultural activities focused on Chilean cinema and generating instances of cultural participation with citizens. Since its constitution, the Cultural Center has annually organized the FECICH Chilean Film Festival, which takes place in Quilpué and seeks to bring national cinema closer to the public.

All this with a decentralized vocation, participatory mechanisms, and the promotion of the creation of networks and associations.
