A family in Siikalatva consumes more than 200 liters of blueberries a year.
Siikalatvai Years20, says that their family consumes so many blueberries that they ran out of space in the freezer when they were stored in the traditional way in boxes.
So the family ended up with a different solution.
– We have had a blueberry freezing model like that for some time. I think it has been frozen like that for several years, Anni tells Iltalehte.
There are plenty of eaters too, as the family includes seven children in addition to the parents. However, three of them have already moved away. Blueberries are used, among other things, for baking. It is also eaten a lot in smoothies and yogurt.
