TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Deddy Corbuzier announced his retirement from all social media. Without explaining the reason in detail, Deddy announced that he would also withdraw from his podcast.
“Untuk beberapa alasan, saya sekarang memilih off dari semua media sosial, podcast dan whatsapp,” tulis Deddy dalam pengumuman yang diunggahnya di halaman Instagramnya pada Selasa, 10 Agustus 2021. Untuk unggahannya ini, Deddy sengaja menutup kolom komentarnya.
Kekasih Sabrina Chairunnisa ini telah memiliki 9,9 juta pengikut di Instagram dan 15,3 juta subscriber di YouTube. Konten podcast Deddy beragam mulai dari membahas kesehatan sampai dengan hal viral yang sedang terjadi. Ia juga sering mengundang berbagai tokoh besar untuk berbicara di podcastnya. “Walaupun dalam bungkusnya pedang harus tajam, begitu juga yang seharusnya pada pikiran dan jiwa dalam tubuh,” tulis Deddy.
Unggahan Deddy terakhir di Instagramnya adalah tentang kebanggannya pada Azka Corbuzier. Azka berhasil meraih sabuk hitam dan 1 kickboxing. “Aku belum bilang padamu di hadapan publik betapa aku bangga padamu. Ujian ban hitam dan 1 tanpa special treatment. Dan kamu melewatinya!” tulis Deddy pada Senin, 9 Agustus 2021.
As for his podcast, Deddy last uploaded his opinion about the arrest of Dinar Candy. Deddy said actually he wanted to invite Dinar Candy to be a guest star on his podcast. Both have agreed to a predetermined schedule. However, because of this arrest, the two of them failed to meet. “Indonesia is still funny even though we are actually inviting Dinar Candy, I thought that yesterday it would be funny,” he said in the video uploaded on Friday, August 6, 2021.
Deddy also uploaded this announcement on his Facebook page. Many netizens commented on Deddy’s announcement. “Perhaps at a time like this for a famous person, ‘Silent is better than talking’.
