PT PLN (Persero) provides the program discount for new power connection. Through the ‘Giving Light to Build the Country’ program, PLN provides a 50% discount promo for new electricity connections to all poor people who are in the Foremost, Outermost, Disadvantaged (3T) areas.
Main Director of PLN Darmawan Prasodjo said, this program aims to open access to affordable electricity connection for poor households, especially for 450 Volt Ampere (VA) customers. At the same time also to provide justice to all Indonesian people in getting access to electricity.
“This program is an effort to accelerate the 100 percent electrification ratio and is an implementation of the fifth precept of Pancasila, namely social justice for all Indonesian people in justice to get access to and benefit from electricity from PLN,” said Darmawan in his statement, Saturday (11/2/2023).
Director of Retail and Commerce PLN Edi Srimulyanti added, program new power connection discount This applies to consumers in the 450 VA tariff group. In addition, prospective customers must also be registered in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).
“This promo is only valid for connecting customers who do not require network expansion or only need a house connection and installation of a kWh meter,” said Edi.
The normal fee for connecting 450 VA power is IDR 421,000 and with this program customers only need to pay IDR 210,500. Prospective customers can take part in this program by submitting an application through PLN Mobile, or the PLN 123 call center.
Therefore, Edi hopes that people can take advantage of it power discount new this as best as possible, especially for poor families and are in the 3T area. “This promo is valid until December 31, 2024, so the hope is that it can be used and utilized as best as possible by the community,” said Edi.
