Comment from Shunsuke Nakamura
Thanks to the cooperation of many people, including Yokohama FC, we have decided to hold this retirement match. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. His active career ended in the 2022 season, and he is currently pursuing his career as a coach for Yokohama FC. I will do my best to catch up with the instructors who have influenced me so much. After retiring from active duty, I realize once again how important the presence of my fans, supporters, and friends who have fought alongside me has been. I am very happy to be able to reunite with my fans, supporters, and comrades at this match. YOKOHAMA FC FRIENDS would like to thank the people who have supported Yokohama FC for a long time and the comrades who played together with them. J-DREAMS would like to thank the comrades who fought together as the Japanese national team. . We will do our best to bring smiles and energy to our fans and supporters. Also, I have another thing to look forward to. That is being able to play at NHK Spring Mitsuzawa Stadium. I have been fortunate to play in many great stadiums, including Celtic Park, but Mitsuzawa is a special place for me. This is the place where I watched the Japan League for the first time when I was in elementary school and admired Kazushi Kimura and Ruy Ramos. This is the place where we all worked together as high school students to earn a spot in the National High School Soccer Championship. The place where he made his first appearance in the J League in April 1997. It was also here that he scored his first goal in the J League, a free kick. I have countless memories at this stadium. I would be happy if I could make new memories with everyone here through my retirement match. We look forward to seeing you all in Mitsuzawa.
